Athens - Eddie Hampton Hunter, 55, died September 3, 2007.
Mr. Hunter was a son of Sodena M. Hunter of Athens, Ga., and the late James E. Hunter. He graduated from Athens High School and the University of Georgia, where he received a Bachelor's degree in physics. Mr. Hunter was currently employed by the University of Georgia in the department of security information. He was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church, NRA and IEEE.
Graveside services will be Friday, September 7, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park, with Rev. Thomas Lang officiating.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Sheryl P. Hunter; son, Ben Hunter of Roswell, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 1353 Jennings Mill Road, Ste. A, Bogart, GA 30622.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
