Allen Carter, 58, husband of 34 years to Terri Dean Carter, died suddenly, Thursday, September 18, 2014.
A native of Byron, GA, he was the son of the late George A. and Ruby Nell Bishop Carter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Bradley Allen Carter and his grandparents. Allen was the owner and operator of Carter Grading, Inc. and member of Bishop Baptist Church. He was a car enthusiast, especially his 41 Willy, and was a member of Street Masters Car Club. Allen was a loving husband, father and granddaddy.
Survivors include his wife, Terri, children, Jessica Davis of Bishop, Brandon Carter of Watkinsville, sisters, Brenda Anthony and Debbie Bond, grandchildren, Ava, Maddie and Sam.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Mitch Elder officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will received friends from 5 to 7 Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the funeral home.
