Dwight Griffeth Jr

Dwight Griffeth Jr., 85, of Danielsville, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016.
A lifelong resident of Danielsville, he was the son of the late Dwight Griffeth Sr. and Gladys Jeanette Williams Griffeth. Mr. Griffeth had a lifelong love and passion for farming, but most of all, he loved his family. He was a member of Moon's Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sarah McGarity Griffeth; two sons: David Griffeth and Joe Griffeth (Katie); three siblings: Anne Smith (Horace), Bobbie Freeman and Tommy Griffeth; four grandchildren: Jesse Griffeth, Lee Griffeth, Kristen Dyer and Samantha Gable (Taylor); along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Moon's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Dial officiating. Mr. Griffeth will lie in state at the church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Griffeth, Jesse Griffeth, Lee Griffeth, Justin Arthur, Taylor Gable and Tim Arthur. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
