Duel Hosie Maddox, 87, died March 26, 2014.
A native of Jackson County, GA, he was a son of the late John and Ossie Crawford Maddox and the widower of Doris Nabers Maddox. Mr. Maddox was retired from Normaltown Barbershop after fifty-three years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, 88th Infantry with service during World War II. Mr. Maddox was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2PM on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Revs. Bill Ricketts and Benson Bottoms officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include two children, Jeffrey W. Maddox (Linda Gale) and Jan Maddox Kirby (Chip); four grandchildren, John T. "Bo" Maddox (Nikki), Mamie Maddox Bettis (Robert), Taylor Kirby and Trey Kirby; two great grandchildren, Laiken Bettis and Rivyn Bettis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
