Winterville, GA - Douglas Edward Patridge, 65, passed away November 25, 2007.
A native of Oglethorpe County, GA, he was a son of the late Walter Edward and Ruby Jewell Compton Patridge, and grandson of the late Travis and Martha Patridge, who raised him. For many years Mr. Patridge attended First Apostolic Church of Bishop and was employed for twenty-seven years with Vertec, formerly Kendall. He played for the Whitehall traveling baseball team and was active in the community and church softball leagues. Mr. Patridge was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Patridge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lanier and Cyndee Patridge of Winterville and Daryl and Venessa Patridge of Watkinsville; three sisters; one brother; five grandchildren, Chelsea, Jessica, Cody, Hannah and Macie; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
