Douglas Paul "Doug" McGrath, 49, husband of Shawna Weasel McGrath, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Born in Davenport, Iowa, Doug was the son of Steve and Barb McGrath of Athens. Doug was currently an Account Manager with Dalton Carpet One and had previously worked for The Carpet Shop. He was a member of Cornerstone Church. Doug was an avid golfer and truly loved spending time with his family. Survivors in addition to his parents and wife include three children: Nathaniel Paul McGrath, Erin McGrath, Natalie June Babin of Watkinsville; brothers: Brian (Denise) McGrath of Rocky Mountain, NC, Marc McGrath of Dallas, GA; father in law and mother in law: Kenneth and Louise Weasel of Crossville, IL; brothers in law: Sheldon Weasel Crossville, IL and Jason (Amy) Weasel of Carmi, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 1PM at Cornerstone Church of Athens with Rev. Scott Sheppard and Rev. Tim Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 until 1pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in honor of Bryant Weasel to Dravet Syndrome Foundation (Seizure Disorder), P.O. Box 16536, West Haven, CT 06516 , Heifer International (Child Hunger) or Rocky Branch Elementary School Garden Club, 5259 Hog Mountain Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
