Dorothy Ann Mejia, 54, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at her residence.
Born in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late James R. Chapman and Dorothy Payne Chapman. She was preceded in death by her daughter Clemencia Mejia in 1997.
Survivors include her husband; Bernardo Mejia; children: Wayne and Jamie Gable of Monroe; brothers: George, Ernest, Jimmy and Donny Chapman; sister: Mary Nell Gearing.
The funeral services for Mrs. Mejia will be held 2PM, Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Matt Calvert officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
