Dorothy (Dot) Weirauch Hayes, 86, died June 2, 2010.
A native of Oconee County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Leona Maxey Porterfield. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Weirauch and Shelnutt Hayes and a brother and sister-in-law, Henry "Ford" and Beverly Porterfield. She was a lifelong resident of Oconee County and was a member of Watkinsville Christian Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST with Rev. Doug Ivey officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Mike Martin of Watkinsville; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Susan Weirauch of Bogart; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Juanita Porterfield of Watkinsville and Bobby and Marion Porterfield of Bishop; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Gene Thornton of Watkinsville; four grandchildren, Wade and Nichole Martin, Wes and Dana Martin, Nicole Weirauch and Michelle Weirauch; four great grandchildren, Caroline Martin, Catie Mae Martin, Reid Martin and Lilli Martin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Porterfield, Steve Porterfield, Mike Thornton, Ricky Moss, Gary Lee and Doug Kilpatrick.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
