Nicholson - Doris Perschka, 78, wife of the late Dale O. Perschka, died Sunday, September 27, 2009, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Springfield, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Faye Rapp and sister to the late Robert Rapp. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include her daughter, Fay; sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Ann and Doug and Kimberly; grandchildren, Alex and his wife, Jessica, Valarie, Nicholas, Chris and Jessica; and one great-grandson, Avery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 29, 2009, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Athens Area Emergency Food Bank, 640 Barber St., Athens, GA 30601; or to Hope Haven of Northeast Georgia, 795 Newton Bridge Road, Athens, GA 30607.
