Hull - Doris Dixon Parks, 75, died Friday, November 30, 2007 at her residence.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Granville A. and Harriett Craven Dixon. She was employed by Dr. Bothwell Traylor for 23 years. She was a homemaker, loving mother and one of the top growers for Gold Kist Poultry. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Neese, GA.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bobby B. Parks; daughters: Elizabeth Jane (Steve) Loop of Cumming, GA, Sandra Lynn Broadnax of Kernersville, NC; brothers: Benjamin F. Dixon of Bradenton, FL, Edward Dixon of Athens, Aubrey Dixon of Athens, Bobby Dixon of Athens; sisters: Carol Wagnon of Hull, Elizabeth Lowe of Athens, Betty Joe Anderson of Hull; grandchildren: Anna Christine Broadnax, Kathleen Diane Brodnax, Cody Loop as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, December 2, 2007 at 2:30PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church or Vista Care Hospice.
