Doris Reba Mize, 91, died May 7, 2009.
A native of Clarke County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Grady L. and Pauline Toney Doster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. Mize, daughter, Donna Mize Hammond and brother, R. F. Doster. Mrs. Mize was a homemaker and a charter member of Johnson Drive Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST, with Rev. Jeff Wells officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Foster of Athens; son, Ronald Mize of Winterville; brother, J. W. Doster of Peachtree City, GA; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rudy of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mark Benedict, Billy Melton, Rick Payne, Terry Smith, Craig Pruitt and Cory Pruitt.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Property Fund of Johnson Drive Baptist Church, 145 Johnson Drive, Athens, GA 30605.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
