Doris Martin

Doris L. Martin, 84, died Friday, August 7, 2015. A native of Athens, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Payne and Gay Nell Maxey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy H. Martin, twin sister, Dorothy "Dot" Chapman and grandson, Michael David McDonald. She had worked for Plantation Buffet, was a member of Victory Baptist Church and had attended Middle River Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters: Florence Lee (David) McDonald of Winterville, Mary Alice (Dennis) Price of Royston, Jane (Tommy) Rowe of Monroe; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 3PM at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Barry Bray officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Sonlight Baptist Church Cemetery.
