Doris Lord

Doris Mae Lord, 86 of Athens, passed away December 13, 2016. She was the daughter of the late, Robert & Eula Hill. She was also preceded in death by husband, Franklin Lord; brother, Cecil Hill.
Mrs. Lord was owner and operator of Plaza 5 & 10 Store and also worked for the Clarke County Tag Office. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother to her family. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to St. Mary Hospice House and the Staff. Mrs. Lord was a member of Edwards Chapel Baptist Church and also attended Elder Rd Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lord enjoyment in life was spending time with her grand kids and great grandkids. Her favorite activity was going to memorial park.

Funeral services are Sunday December 18, 2016 2:00pm at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel with Rev. Lee Hunter officiating. The family will visit at the funeral home Saturday December 17, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Survivors include: children, Carbie Epps and Dennis (Kay) Lord; Four Grandchildren, Daniel (Chanda) Lord, Casey (Bobby) Haley, Aaron (Amber) Lord and Matthew (Alyssa) Lord; 14 great grandchildren and a friend of the family, Penny Carithers.
