Ft. Lauderdale - Doris Joan Koepke, age 83, of Ft. Lauderdale, died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at St. Maryís Hospital in Athens, Georgia.
She was born November 23, 1922 in Chicago, Ill. to the late Charles and Marguerite Rockwood. She was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence Henry Koepke. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church in Tamarac, FL. She was a member of the Churches Women of Peace Society, and the Mainlandís Section Three Association of Homeowners.
She and her husband lived in Davenport, La. for 35 years before retiring to Florida.
Survivors include her Two Daughters; Letitia Ann and Allen D. Spelbring of Hillsboro, Ill. and Marguerite L. and Bart Hamburg of Winterville, GA. Two grandchildren; Christopher A. and Faith Spelbring of Culver City, Ca. and Timothy D. Spelbring of Rochester, NY.
Memorial Service were Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 2PM at the Christus Victor Lutheran Church and Student Center with Pastor Gregory Michael officiating.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA along side with husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Maryís Hospice, P.O. box 6588, Athens, GA 30604, or Concordia Seminary, 801 Seminary Place, St. Louis, MO 63105.
