Ruby Doris Butler Kesler, 89, died Friday, August 9, 2013.
Mrs. Kesler was born October 24, 1923 in Jackson County to Oliver Taylor and Ila Jane Woodall Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Buford Kesler in 2010; son, James Buford Kesler; sister, Wilma Bridges and brothers, Harold S. Butler and Otis T. Butler.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Church with Rev. Morris Sapp and Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Stanley and Sheryl Kesler of Athens, Jerry and Vickie Kesler of Winterville, Judy and Oral Dove of Athens, Cheryl Kesler Stuart of Athens; brother, Jack Butler; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shane Kesler, Jeremy Kesler, Eric Dove, Rodney Dove, Josh Stuart and Andy Browner.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to offer their appreciation to Gentiva Hospice for their tender care and a very special thank you to Pauline Armstrong for her wonderful care and compassion.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
