Doris "Dory" Jean Hardin-Trottier, 63, died March 25, 2009.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late Edward Huddleston and Betty Jane George Grimes. She was a former resident of California for many years before moving to Cherokee County in April of 2007, where she was an active member and secretary of the Cherokee Saddle Club. She had lived in Lexington, Georgia since December of 2008.

Survivors include her husband, Don Trottier; son, George Henry Hardin and fiancé, Beth of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two sisters, Mary Anne (Thomas)Kennedy of Sequim, Washington and Jane (Walter) Sayers of College Station, Texas; brother, George Wayne (Sharon) Grimes of Houston, Arkansas; seven grandchildren including Marcus, Nathan and Zac Trottier and Sascha Oetke.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, Athens, GA is in charge of arrangements.
