Doris Leslie Allen died peacefully on February 19, 2012. She was at home with her family.
Doris is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill Allen; her daughters, Suzanne Yoculan Leebern, Jr., Becky Perkins, Denise Rae Mullins, and Gretchen Kelly as well as her son-in-laws Donald Leebern, Jr., Bryan S. Mullins, and Michael J. Kelly. In addition, Doris is survived by her grandchildren, Adam Yoculan and his wife Tatiana Yoculan, Alexis Yoculan and Kyle Kelly and her great grandson, Alex Yoculan. Doris is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Laverde, Thomas Coleman Carlisle and Marjorie Amend, their spouses and children, and many great nieces and nephews and friends.
Born in Oklahoma, Doris raised her children in Texas, Baltimore and then NJ. She has been a resident of Athens, GA for 25 years.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 12:00noon to 2:00PM at Lord and Stephens, WEST, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Bogart, GA 30622. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Athens Memory Gardens, 5195 Lexington Road, Athens, GA 30605.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice earmarked for the Athens, GA program.
