Dora Lou Anderson

Mrs. Dora Lou Anderson passed away at Athens Regional Medical Center on October 25, 2011 at the age of 74. Mrs. Anderson was born in Athens to William Tittle and Emma Gillen on January 11, 1937. She was a cashier with Midway Shopping Center, she will always be remembered for her big heart, her great sense of humor, for her loving and caring ways, and her unselfish ways in being the neighborhood grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Anderson, and her mother. She is survived by her children Rebecca and Glen Frank, Mike Anderson, Sandra and Joel Hinojosa, Kenny Anderson, Connie Anderson, Bonnie Penix, Tim Anderson; grandchildren Laura Parker, Wendy Piche, Wendell Anderson, Tina Coile, Corey Anderson, Amanda Anderson, Barbi Scofill, Brandon Houseman, Sandy Houseman-Marcial, Bailey Hinojosa, Tiffanie Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Steven Anderson, Dustin Anderson, Danielle Penix, Justine Penix, Allen Penix, Nicole Anderson, Danielle Anderson; great grandchildren George Parker, Lexi Parker, Jessica Parker, Bridget Sullivan, Makenna Barrett, Marisa Hanson, Blake Hardman, Will Coile, Landon Anderson, Ethan Anderson, Dillon Anderson, Travis Anderson, Cohen Schofill, Loh Schofill, Sebastain Houseman, Lucas Houseman, Bella Cole and Tyson Cole.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM with graveside service to be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Sunlight Baptist Church at 1:00 PM.
