Athens - Mrs. Donnie L. Wood died January 24, 2006.
A native of Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Elisha and Lura Phillips Wood. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Wood, and Inez Grizzle, and two brothers, Austin Wood and Eugene Wood. She was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 27, 2006, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Revs. Barry Black and Patsy Garrett will officiate. Interment will be in Middle River Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include four brothers, Robert Wood of Rebecca, GA, Edward Wood of Arnoldsville, John Wood of Athens, and Donald Wood of Danielsville; many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terry Wood, Greg Wood, Randy Wood, Tommy Wood, Ronnie Wood, and Timmy Wilson.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
