Donnie Lee Sanders, Sr., 57, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
Born in Seneca, SC, he was the son of the late Leonard Leon and Betty Sue Roach Sanders. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Robbie Dewitt Sanders and Tommy Orr Sanders. He retired from E.R. Snell after 20 years and loved the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife; Carol Hamby Sanders of Hull; children: Mack Scott Colley of Travelers Rest, SC, Rebecca Ann Cox of Colbert, Adam Lee Sanders of Loganville, Betty Louann Adams of Colbert, Donnie Lee Sanders, Jr. of Hull, Betty Sue Sanders of Athens; sister: Debra Roberts of Seneca; brothers Terry Sanders and Michael Leon Sanders both of Seneca; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Revs. Rick Lawing and Tim Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
