Winterville, GA - Donna Marie Tate, 70, died May 7, 2013.
A native of Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. Tate and Ruby Porterfield Tate.
Donna was a graduate of Athens High School. She worked in the banking industry in Athens for 35 years, serving in various management positions. Donna was involved in numerous. community services and was a longtime member of the Pilot Club and Red Hat Club. She was a member of Tuckston United Methodist Church where she was active with the singles group and bridge club.
There will be a visitation/reception at Tuckston United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Immediately following, the family will receive friends at the Lord and Stephens, EAST prior to the service in the Chapel at 3:00 PM. Rev. James Mooneyham and Dr. Sheila Bookout will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her brother, Jerry Tate of Athens; niece, Susan Smith (Gil) of Madison, MS; nephews, Tracy Tate (Marie) of Athens and Larry Tate (Hillary) of Atlanta and cousins, Deborah Porterfield and Phyllis Neville.
