Donna Catherine (Christy) Cofer

Donna Catherine Cofer, 66, of Lexington, Georgia, passed away on February 18, 2024. Born in Athens, Georgia, Donna was the daughter of Bertha Arthur Chirsty and the late, Edgar Don Christy. She was the owner and operator of Lexington Cuts and graduated from Oglethorpe County High School. Survivors in addition to her mother Bertha include one brother: Tim Christy; sister-in-law: Hollie Chisty; nephew: Blake Christy and his wife Courtney Christy; great nephew: Gray Christy.   A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter.  Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens, GA is in charge of arrangements.
