Donald Marion Walters

Donald Marion Walters, 73, of Arnoldsville, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
Born in Lavonia, he was a son of the late Mac Walters and Jewel Herron Walters. Mr. Walters retired from the Barrow County Sheriff's Office. He enjoyed watching movies, reading and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Walters especially enjoyed taking his grandson Cade Walters for ice cream on the weekends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann Jordan Walters; one son, Mac Jordan Walters and one grandson, Jordan Kennedy.
Survivors include his children, Brad Walters, Mary Jo Kennedy (John) and Mark Walters (Allison) and three grandchildren, Blake Kennedy, Zach Kennedy and Cade Walters.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at Temple United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Daily Bread, 355 Pulaski Street, Athens, GA 30601.
