Donald Ray Till, former resident of St. Augustine, Florida and Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on September 13, 2021.
Following graduating from Terry Parker High School, Mr. Till received an associate degree from Emmanuel College. He then received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Georgia and partook in Alpha Kappa PSI at UGA as a fraternal member.
Mr. Till proudly served in both the United States Marines and Navy. He then retired from the Navy after 20 years of dedicated service.
Donald will be remembered as a man who enjoyed the pleasance of a simple moment and who lived on his own clock. He appreciated the simplicity of everyday life- a slow drive through town in his blue jeep, the satisfaction of a well-cooked meal, a stroll with a soft wind, a contented turn of a bible page, or an afternoon teatime with cookies. He valued the creation of the world one moment at a time.
Mr. Till is survived by his brother, Charles A. Till of Watkinsville, Georgia; a sister, Patricia Ann Till of Athens, Georgia; daughters, Donna M. Parke of Quincy, Illinois, Kelley A. Gamboa of Bishop, Georgia, and Tracey Soohoo of St. Augustine, Florida; grandchildren, Windle Hutchinson III, Nathanial Soohoo, and Nicholas Soohoo of St. Augustine, Florida, Jacob Parke and Blake Parke of Quincy, Illinois, and Kaitlin Ostendorf, Isabella Gamboa, and Emma Gamboa of Bishop, Georgia.
