Donald Scott Truluck, born March 26, 1966, in Athens, GA, passed away peacefully at his home in Brunswick, Georgia, on April 11, 2025. He proudly and honorably served in the US Army and then continued serving in the Army National Reserves while attending the University of Georgia, earning his Bachelor of Science in History—a field that fueled his passion as a history buff. After graduation, he was hired on with Bellsouth/AT&T where he had a successful 33+ year career. His last 25 years were spent as a Construction and Engineering Manager for the Southeast Region of Georgia.
Scott was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan who loved calling the Dawgs. He also enjoyed grilling and cooking. Known as a jack-of-all trades, he loved tinkering with various projects and was often found immersed in something new. Above all, he cherished his family dearly.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Lovern Truluck; his children, Jonathan Grant Truluck and Jessica Grace "Gracie" Truluck; his mother, Sue B. Truluck; his sister, Suzanne (Timothy) Zech; and his brother, Michael (Paula) Truluck. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Sinclair Truluck.
A visitation in honor of Scott will be held on April 16, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM. The family invites all who knew Scott to join them in remembering his life and the impact he had on everyone around him. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Crotty, Sean Flanigan, Mike Trull, John Fivashe, Russell Knight, Jim Coleman, Kurt Rice, Bill Morris, Corey Wainright, Levi Hancock, Darrell Pittman and Owen Rogers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
