Donald Poole

Donald Franklin Poole, 77 of Athens, passed away March 29, 2017. He was the son of the late, Benjamin Carson & Emma Poole; he was also preceded in death by sister, Doris Poole O'Neal; brothers, William "Billy" Carson Poole and William Harold Poole. Mr. Poole was a member of Oconee Heights Baptist Church.

Funeral services are Saturday April 1, 2017 12:30PM at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel with Mr. Dick Howington officiating. The family will visit at the funeral home, Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Survivors include: Wife of 30 years, Opal Poole; children, Glenda (Randy) Meeler, Rickey (Michele) Poole and Mickey (Stefanie) Poole; sister, Carolyn (Dick) Poole Howington; brother in law, Randy Cromer; sister in laws, Glenda Sewell and Debbie (Wayne) Palmer; Six Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren and his beloved pets, nicknick and cosmo.

Pallbearers: Jason Cotton, Tim Marsh, Bryan Poole, Phillip O'Neal, Brad Williams, Skip Poole and Honorary Pallbearers, Joey Phillips, Lamar Kellum, Cody Andrews and Barry Williams.
