Athens - Donald Edgar Dalton, 63, husband of Shirley Jean Dalton, died February 28, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Born in Oconee County and a resident of Jackson County for 43 years, he was the son of the late George and Doris Bradshaw Dalton. He attended Bogart United Methodist Church and was a member of Local # 85 Sheet Metal Workers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Pastor Barbara Ulrich and Rev. Stevie Coombs officiating. Burial will follow at Bogart United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his son, Jeff Dalton (Kathy) of Athens, daughter, Cynthia Dalton (Gerald) Bridges of Nicholson and one grandson, Cody Dalton.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
