Athens - Donald Keith Boerl, 54, died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at St. MaryÕs Hospital.
Born in Binghamton, N.Y., he was the son of the late Daniel and Evelyn Kauffman Boerl. He was also preceded in death by his brother, David Boerl. He was carpenter by trade. Donald was an avid volunteer at Cornerstone Church of God where he was a member.
Survivors include his wife, Drema Boerl; son, Jarrett Boerl; daughter, Jade Boerl; and two sisters, Dawn Lowery of Binghamton and Danielle Brown of Akron, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 12, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God with Pastor Scott Sheppard and Pastor Robert Sheppard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Church of God, Capital Gaines Fund, 2150 Lexington Road, Athens, GA 30605.
