Donald Maurice Ashmore, 86, of Lexington, died on Saturday, June 19, 2021.
Born in Lincoln County, GA to the late Otis and Lillian Brown Ashmore, Donald served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He later worked as a truck driver for PET Milk and Coca-Cola, where he retired after many years. He was a member at Pentecost Chapel in Lexington. Donald loved his family, especially his wife and children.
Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by all his siblings.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Ashmore; two children: Melissa Henry (David) and Michael Pugh (Tiffany); 3 grandchildren: James, Dallas, and John; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, at Pentecost Chapel in Lexington at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Henley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
