Diane (Sosby) McCurry

Diane Sosby McCurry, 76, of the Red Hill community, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 1, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Sosby and Mildred “Peggy” Phillips.

She is lovingly remembered by her 2 daughters: Johnna Aldrich (Jason) and Christy Compton (Clay); grandchildren: Joselin Aldrich, Keaton Aldrich, Kira Aldrich, Grayson Aldrich, and Isabella Compton.

Diane lived most of her life in the Red Hill community but recently lived with her children due to health issues. Her hobbies were playing piano and studying her Bible. Throughout her life she attended Athens United Methodist Church and Carnesville Church of God. She loved the outdoors, animals, and her family. She will be remembered as a devoted mother who always put the needs of others before her own. No matter the circumstances, she kept unfaltering faith in the Lord.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 10 at Sid and Augusta White Memorial Park in Carnesville at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394 or at shrinerschildrens.org .
