Diane (Burris) Jay

July 7, 1951 — January 31, 2014

Diane Burris Jay, 62, died Friday, January 31, 2014 due to complications from the flu.
Diane was born on July 7, 1951 in Houston, Texas. She attended A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, South Carolina and then the University of Georgia. Diane was a great wife, mother, and friend. She is survived and will be sorely missed by her mother, Laura Bass Burris, her father and mother-in-law, Charles W. Jay Sr. and Faye Jay, her son Michael and future daughter-in-law Erin Froetschel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 2, from 2 until 4 PM. Services will be at Gordons Chapel United Methodist Church, Nowhere Rd., Hull, Georgia at 3 PM Monday, February 3 with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
