Colbert - Destin James Hattaway, 24, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Banks Jackson Commerce Hospital, Commerce, Ga.
Born in Clarke County, he was the son of Dennis Hattaway and Judy Hattaway. He had attended Riverside Baptist Church, Colbert, Ga., graduated from the Georgia School for the Deaf in 2001 and was presently attending Athens Technical College.
In addition to his parents, Destin is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Franchesca and Tripp Hill, of Comer; nephew, Isaac Hill; maternal grandparents: Roy and Martha Lord, of Ila; maternal great-grandparents, Claude and Frances Horne, of Danielsville; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Iola Hattaway, of Danielsville; aunts and uncles, Bo Lord, Sherry Angel, Tony Lord, Diana Lord, Christy Lord, Greg Lord, Cory Lord, Kenneth Hattaway, Miriam David, Donna Scott, Steven Hattaway, Linda Jordan; fiancÈ, Carrie Adams, from Athens, Ga.
Funeral services will be 2PM, Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Wood officiating. Burial will be held at Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Micah Lee, Shawn Self, Doyle Blevins, Tripp Hill, Greg Lord and Cory Lord.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2007, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel.
