Athens, GA - Dennis E. Langford, 66, of Athens, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007.
Born April 8, 1941, in Athens, GA, he was the son of the late James Allen and Mary Nancy Langford. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dud Gilbert and Blanche Elizabeth Shedd. He was a soldier in the United States Army, hobby race car driver, accomplished mechanic and avid fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include Martha Ann Langford, his wife and lifelong love; sons and daughters-in-laws, Dean and Stephanie Langford of Wolfskin, and Brian and Shawn Langford of Arnoldsville; and a double handful of grandchildren who adored him.
There will be a private service followed by burial at Tuckston United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Extra Special People, Inc., 189 VFW Drive, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
