Demarcus Lane Kelley, age 24, passed away December 21, 2014. Born in Athens, he was the son of Nikki Smith (Andy) Bennett and the late Charles Kelley. Marcus graduated from Franklin County High School in 2009, where he played football and baseball. He attended Piedmont College and was an apprentice at C&M Electric. Marcus loved spending time with his family.
He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, John L. Kelley.
Survivors include a son, Myles Kelley; girlfriend, Kasey Jordan; siblings, Chris Kelley, Erin Steed, Tate Bennett; grandparents, Randy & Linda Patman, Gary & Sarah Lynn Smith, Mary Kelley, Wayne & Louise Langston; great-grandmother, Gleta Bailes; and a number of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and extended family.
Memorial services will be held at 2PM on December 26, 2014 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Myles Kelley c/o Pinnacle Bank, Franklin Springs, GA.
