Della McFarland Paradise, 81, died Wednesday, November 09, 2011.
Born in Crawford, GA she was the daughter of the late Sam P. and Lenora Christy Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Harold McFarland and brother James P. Smith. She was the Postmaster at the Stephens Post Office and retired after 31 years and was a member of Lexington Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Paradise of Stephens, son, James David McFarland of Comer, brother, Marvin Smith of Colbert, sister, Pauline Hayes of Conyers, grandson, James Kyle McFarland of Stephens and two great grandchildren, Harold Blane McFarland and Kylah Ann McFarland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Harry Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church, Stephens, GA. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday, November 11, 2011 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lexington Baptist Church.
