Delane Callie Borron

Bogart, GA - Delane C. Borron, 65, died July 31, 2013.
Born in Kirksville, MO, he was the son of Ruth Polson Borron of Winigan, MO and the late Almo E. Borron. Delane received his BS in Agriculture from the University of Missouri in 1971 and was a graduate of The University of Georgia, receiving his Masters of Science in 1973 and his PhD in 1978. He was a member of Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society of Agriculture at UGA. Delane retired as Division Manager of Gold Kist/Pilgrims Pride in 2007 following 31 years of service. Delane always had a love for tools and craftsmanship. In his retirement, he enjoyed restoring antiques and antique tools. He was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church and Rick Brittain's Sunday School Class.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Linda O. Borron; son, Brent Lane Borron, both of Bogart; brother, Michael Borron (Brenda) of Winigan, MO; sister, Carol Payne (Bud) of LaPlata, MO; father in law and mother in law, Winfred and Geraldine Ogle of Kirksville, MO and nephews, Jason Borron, Jeffrey Borron, Garrett Payne, Preston Payne and Kendrick Payne.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Rev. Bill Ricketts and Mr. Rick Brittain officiating. Interment will be at Oconee Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Wilburn, Wendell Shelton, Ricky Thompson, Bud Payne, Bruce Borron, Jim Marsh and Tommy Ruark.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Hulsey, George Turk, Norman Robinson, Al Westmoreland, Mike Nations, Kerry Preslar, Jason Borron, Jeffrey Borron, Garrett Payne, Preston Payne, Kendrick Payne and Bobby Evans.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
