Athens - Debra Pierce, 53, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 3PM at Whitehall Baptist Church with Rev. Buford Lockman and Chaplin Bill Hayes officiating.
Born in Cobb County, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Lawrence and Nellie Hardman Watkins of Comer. She was a homemaker and was learning to bellydance with Fatina & Company and South Fusion Production.
Survivors in addition to his mother include her husband Wendell Pierce of Athens, daughters: Jeannie Kesler of Athens, Wendy Pierce Gomez of Athens; sisters: Karen Chastain of Comer, Robin Costner and Kim Lawrence both of Indiana; four grandchildren as well as a host of relative and friends.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
