Deborah Ann McMillan Welch

Deborah Ann McMillan Welch, 72, of Athens Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Born September 25, 1949, Deborah was the eldest child of the late Charles E. and Mable Johnson McMillan.

Deborah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She had a passion for cooking and loved to feed everyone. Deborah enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the beach. She was most at peace when she was at the ocean.

Deborah was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Athens High and Athens Technical College. She is preceded in death by David B. McMillan (brother) and Christopher Lamar Welch (son). Survivors include her husband George Lamar Welch, daughter, Amy Welch-Perry (Corey), granddaughter, Morgan Perry, Brother C.E. McMillan Jr. (Julie), one niece and two nephews.

Deborah wanted her friends and family to celebrate her life.
