Deborah Lynn (Martin) Jones

Deborah Martin Jones, 60, of Danielsville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
Born at Athens General Hospital on September 21, 1955, she was the daughter of Ruth Busbin Martin and the late Ernest Martin. Mrs. Jones was a 1973 graduate of Madison County High School and a lifelong resident of the area. She loved crafts and decorating. Mrs. Jones, along with her mother, owned and operated Ruth's Florist in Commerce for over 35 years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Group. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Ted and Polly Martin and her maternal grandparents: Harvey and Annie Sue Busbin.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 42 years, Sammy Jones; one daughter, Sandi; one brother, Ronnie Martin and her beloved shih-tzu Lucy.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
