Stephens, GA - David Adair Wall, Sr., 60, died May 13, 2010.
A lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late William A., Sr. and Ruth Hansford Wall. Mr. Wall was retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company following 37 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working for the Oglethorpe County Sheriff's Department, where he was currently employed as a deputy.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church with Revs. Brett Mask and Terry Kenney officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hemphill Wall; daughter and son in law, Amy and Brian Lance of Crawford; son and daughter in law, David A., Jr. and Selina Wall of Ila; brother and sister in law, William A., Jr. and Carrie Wall of Athens; sister, Mable Wall-West of Arnoldsville; grandchildren, Brooke Adams and Mason A. Wall and a number of nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Oglethorpe County Sheriff's Department.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
