David L. "PawPaw" Roberts, 90, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his home. Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late Frank and Myrtie Leard Roberts. He was a co-owner of Williams and Roberts Used Cars and former employee of the Long Candy Company. PawPaw was an avid Bulldawg fan and a devout family man. He was greatly loved by many and will be truly missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his daughter: Karen Wilson of Dayton Beach, FL; siblings: Alfred Roberts, Talmadge Roberts, Ida Mae Coker, Juanita Bruce; grandchildren: Keith Wilson and Michael & Jessica Wilson; great grandchildren: Lindy Wilson and the twins, Brantley and Jackson Wilson. In addition to his brother, William Roberts, PawPaw was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Hazel Roberts, and his second wife, Mrs. Mary Roberts. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
