David R. Rice, 74, died December 9, 2006.
A native of Culberson, NC, he was a son of the late Edgar M. and Nettie Mae Hawkins Rice. Mr. Rice lived in Lexington, GA since 1995 after residing in Conyers, GA for thirty-four years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for over 36 years with Crown-Zellerbach of Atlanta, GA. Mr. Rice was a past master of Howard Masonic Lodge #138 and a former member of Phiolgia Lodge of Conyers. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Rice.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 11, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Vesta Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Bruce officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Evielene Rice; son and daughter-in-law, Clark D. and Connie Rice of Loganville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Mark Bridges of Lexington, GA; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Bob Bailey of Winder, Margaret and Roy Clay of Buford, GA, Nell and Ronald Cloud of Lilburn, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Diane Rice of Auburn, GA; three grandchildren, Mollie R. and Jason Broadnax of Good Hope, GA, David E. Rice of Loganville, and Emily Kate Bridges of Lexington; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
