David Elton Hodges, Jr., 74, husband of the late Marjorie Jean Holmes Hodges, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015.
Mr. Hodges was born in Fleming, GA to the late David Elton Hodges and Marylee Brewton Hodges. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step son Tim Holmes.
Survivors include his daughter; Lee Anne (Mark) Farris; sister: Judy Hodges Schaaf; step children: Scott Holmes, Jimmy Holmes, Jennie Harnes; grandchild: Autry Farris and step grandchildren: Tim Holmes Jr. and Mary Holmes.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 3PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Pastor Steve Stringer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial follow at a later date at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery.
Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
