David Warren Eck

David Warren Eck, 80, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Born on November 27, 1941, in Lycoming County, PA, he was the son of the late Miles S. Eck and Nina L. Eck.

David served in the United States Navy as a nuclear reactor operator on submarines. He moved to Athens to work at the Navy School in 1972 and later opened his own auto repair shop, Fairfield Customizing, which he operated for 28 years.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Chris Eck of GA, Kristen (Rick) Sherker of PA, Haley Eck (Jamaris Craft) of GA, David (Debra) O’Donnell of GA, Donna (Glen) Dufour of PA; 6 grandchildren and one on the way; 5 great grandchildren.

He loved boats, jet skis and the lake but most of all his family & friends. The family would like to say a special thanks to Georgia Cancer Specialist and Bridgeway Hospice for their exceptional care.
