David Alan Dowdy

Athens, GA - David Alan Dowdy, 47, died November 28, 2012.
A native of Palatka, FL, he was a son of Betty Buice, stepson of Bill Buice, and son of Frank Dowdy. David worked for many years at Flavorich.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST with Revs. Shane Moore and Randy Gordon officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Survivors in addition to his mother and stepfather include four children, Janna Dowdy, Jordan Dowdy, Anderson Dowdy and Addison Dowdy and their mother, Janene Dowdy; brother, Charles (Jo) Elliott; nephews, Jacob (Lisa) Elliott, Charlie Elliott, Michelle Elliott and Caleb Elliott; and other extended family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
