Charles David Davidson, 52, of Winterville, died January 6, 2006. He was a native of Gainesville, GA and a son of the late Johnny Davidson. He was reared in Madison County by his mother Clara Gayton Anthony and his step-father, the late Fred Anthony.
David was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Davidson and Terry Davidson, grandmothers, Alline Gayton and Myrtle (Big Mama) Davidson and grandfather Henry (Big Daddy) Davidson.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Dr. Paul Downey officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Edward Vickery, Brett Gomes, Danny Gabriel, Henry Shirah, Robert McCurley and Glen Woods.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his wife, Susan Weatherly Davidson; daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Michael Chavez, Brooke and Tennyson Hull and Mindy Gabriel; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Mona Gabriel; He was beloved Papa to Hannah Gabriel, Tennyson Allen Hull, Jr., William Crudup, Austin Chavez, James Crudup, Cammie Chavez, Zeke Hull and Kendall Hull; survived by brother, Michael Anthony; grandfather, Beecher Gayton and nieces and nephews, Geoffery Davidson, Anna Spidle and Jacob Spidle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.
