Athens - David H. "Butch" Bryant, Jr., 64, of Athens, died Friday, May 23, 2008.
Born in Madison County on February 8, 1944, he was the son of the late David H. Bryant, Sr. and Sarah Lord Bryant. He was a retired automotive service manager and of the Baptist faith.
He is also preceded in death by wife, Billie Samples Bryant; brother, Wayburn Bryant; and sister, Vee Finnan.
Surviving are sons, David H. Bryant, III of Athens, Chad Bryant of Crawford; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelby and Elmer Dean & Mary and Jim Cofer, all of Athens; brother and sister-in-law, John T. (Tom) and Glenda Bryant of Athens.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, May 25, 2008 from Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home- East, Athens, has charge of arrangements.
