Winterville - David Alan Bocher, 85, of 220 W Beaverdam Rd, Winterville, GA, 30683, died May 3, 2010. Born on November 3, 1924, in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of Herman Walter Bocher and Erna Jeske Bocher. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dr. Herman "Bud" Bocher, of Wynnewood, PA, and his sister, Dr. Carol Bocher, of Oneonta, NY. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dolores W. Bocher, step-daughter, Dr.Karen Jacobsen-Mispagel and her husband, Dr. Michael Mispagel, of Athens, step-son, James R. Jacobsen, and his wife, DeAnn Drottz of Casa Grande, AZ, grand-children, Benjamin Mispagel of Athens, Heather Mispagel Ganio and her husband Dr. Matt Ganio of Dallas, TX, and sister-in-law, Dr. Rita Bocher of Wynnewood, PA.
David was an inspiring and creative educator, artist, musician, and electronics expert. He had varied and interesting careers in art education and educational video. He was honored for serving as Audio Engineer of the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship of Athens (UUFA) for 19 years. A memorial service will be held at the UUFA at 4pm, Saturday, May 22nd.
