David Stanley Ashley, 44, died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel with Revs. Rex Evans and Anthony H. Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Cemetery . Pallbearers will be Danny Prather, Stacy Dover, Shayne Presley, Aaron Williamson, James Bennett and Larry Grissom.
Born in Miami , Florida , he was the son of the late A.C. and Phyllis Dunn Ashley. David was a painter with Peach State Freightliner in Jefferson , GA.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wheless Polk-Ashley, daughter, Amanda Quarles of Easley, SC and granddaughter, Hailey Arnold.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
