David Gordon Allen Jr

David Gordon Allen Jr., 69, of Nicholson, died Sunday, February 21, 2016. David was born in Mobile AL, to David Gordon Allen Sr., and Margaret Belew Allen. David served for 20 years in the United States Air Force from 1965-1985, and went on to work with the UGA Athletics Department from 1986-2006. David was a member at Jefferson First United Methodist Church and served on the Board of Trustees.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife, Alice Allen, children, Stephen C. Guest (Misty) and Christa Allen, siblings Leslie "Bubba" (Becky) Allen, Pam (Steve) Lauer, and Keith (Carol) Allen, grandchildren, Gavin Guest, Avery Allen, Addison Allen, and Garrett Gailey, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 26th from 6-8 P.M. at Lord and Stephens, West. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 27th at 1:30 P.M. at Jefferson First United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Laskey officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House in Athens GA, Jefferson First United Methodist Church in Jefferson GA, or to a favorite charity.
